Just some titchy items…

But first…
Dulltown, Europe: Today’s snapshot is the one of me having a coffee and a cigarette with Jean-Paul Sartre.

Excuses for being late. 216.
I’m sorry I’m late, but I was busy perfecting my anti-gravity shoes.

A single overheard remark:
‘The climbing tree is not for climbing Jane!…’

This morning I tried to spell the word gesturing with a ‘J’ instead of a ‘G’ – It looked alright to me… so what about jesters then?…

‘Tell me…’
‘When you are in cafes…’
‘Are you freaked out by embarrassingly stringy mozzarella?’
‘No, no, I’m used to it now… I can take it in my stride… I am an adult you know!…’

On the TV here in the UK we have a pet mathematician who presents science documentaries for us; he is called Professor Marcus du Sautoy. (M d S)
Well, as we know, all mathematicians and scientist are a bit strange, but what surprises me is that over the years he has never learned how to pronounce the words nuclear and longitude; he always says newk-yiller and longditude with a ‘D’ in it. I mean… one can be generous and forgive politicians and journalists for doing this, poor things, but if science and maths is your job, you’d think you’d bother to get the words right pretty early on in your career…

Town today was full of people with funny chins: wide ones, long ones, square ones, tattooed ones, pointed ones. It was a delight to see them all out together… Perhaps it is Hull Funny Chin Day?

A single overheard remark:
‘I’ve got a gut about him… and I’ve got a gut about her as well…’

What? Have my chakras balanced? I don’t need to, I have my own spirit level, I can do it myself…

People who sit in cafes talking sums of money really do think that they are having a serious conversation…
