Dulltown, Europe: Today’s adjectives are: swanky, feracious, tectiform, wistful, rorty, and ornery.

‘Oh, hello.’
‘Don’t see you out shopping much… What are you buying?’
‘Oh, I’m just looking at these t-shirts and sweatshirts.’
‘Oh yes?… Oh… these are all grey…’
‘Yes, I like grey…’
‘Well… grey… I mean… Don’t you want a garment that, er… says something?’
‘What, you mean, with writing on it?…’
‘No, no, just something a bit more lively, something with a bit of… style?… Something that says something… about you…’
‘Well, I like grey… It’s unobtrusive…’
‘Yes, it’s neat and clean-looking… There’s dark grey, and there’s light grey, there’s medium grey… and a nice grey t-shirt always goes well with my grey trousers, and my grey shoes – it’s often hard to get a perfect match, but…’
‘Actually, you are right – and it does say something about you.’
‘Oh? What does it say?…’
‘Gosh! Is that the time? I really must be off…’
