Even in the snow…

But first,
Dulltown, Europe: Today’s existential angst is centred around the sound of the word ‘plenum’ – it sounds dirty…

Hey, how about a quick look at another of my recently made mail art postcards? (No. 4488)

4488 DSCN3601I think I’ll call this one, ‘Spotted… Even in the snow, wolves are easily seen by reindeer’. Well, I’m supposed to be a surrealist am I not?… Yes, you’re quite right, these cards are very quick to do… and, alright, I admit that they’re a bit cheap looking… But they are visually effective, don’t you think?… Mm… Yes, that’s right, snipped from an old copy of What’s On TV… Why the fluorescent card?… I think it just adds a bit of eye-catching brightness and… Hm… yes, if these images were on just plain white card it would be a pretty dull looking thing, the bright colours give them a bit of class I think, and of course it unifies the whole set of them for collectors in the future… Of course people will collect them!… They’ll be changing hands for hundreds of pounds each!… The stuck-on eyes?… Yes, it is always amusing to add human characteristics to animals… people seem to love animals anyway, and to add… Yes, Walt Disney exploited this when he first… Hm, I know, he did overdo it a bit though… I find some of it really creepy… what about Donald Duck’s ‘girlfriend’… what’s her name, Daisy?… Whoa!… Cute sexuality, but with feathers!… and the way she moves!… No, no, it’s horrible… (D.D.)
