Mail art postcard No. 4464…

But first…
Dulltown, Europe: Today’s kangaroo is the one that strolls nonchalantly whistling a tune.

4464Ah, yes, another of my recent mail art postcards.
Yet again, just a couple of snippings from an old copy of that tatty TV listings magazine What’s On TV stuck onto fluorescent card and we have a very nice pithy surreal statement… I’m not sure what the pithy statement is saying though, perhaps it isn’t saying anything…
These cards are, of course, very quick to make, but notice how I at least made the effort to give the ‘shock’ cutting nice rough hand torn edges to increase the explosive power of the word. Oh dear, oh dear… look out, I might be about to slip in my favourite word, ‘juxtaposition’…
Hm… those items of ‘old people’s’ furniture – look how solid and foursquare they are, it would take a lot of effort to tip one of those over in a heated moment in the middle of a tense game of Scrabble. They almost have expressions on their downturned faces; they certainly don’t seem very cheerful do they? They look as if they are waiting for something to happen… Oh no!… They have been unexpectedly juxtaposed with a big brash interloping white word!… Goodness me!… We’d better order more tea and biscuits…

Oh you are a little ray of sunshine with your weird and wacky humour! Loving the mail art postcard – you certainly don’t get chairs like that anymore…which reminds me – a mobility scooter shop closed down recently in my town. The reason on the handwritten notice? “Lack of footfall” Thanks for the follow, btw. Its appreciated 😀

Well actually you do get chairs like that – that ad is only a month or two old. “A little ray of sunshine” Nobody has called me that in years! Footfall?… Gosh!…
