A lino print…

But first…
Dulltown, Europe: Today’s weather will be universally granular with protruding shafts of barley sugar scattering beads of blue amongst the bouncing balls of pale sock wool.

WP F DSCN3748Here’s a lino print of mine from earlier this year, it’s on nice Japanese paper and is slightly smaller than A4 in size.
Whoa! Spiky, clattering, splinter splitter, window, clang, pointy fish, zigzag, staircase, stars, door… There, that pretty well sums it up, you don’t really need to look at it now…
Er, no, I’m sorry, I don’t know ‘what it’s about’, but it seems to be some sort of ‘scene’ doesn’t it? There’s definitely a dark starry sky and some roof-shaped things bouncing across. Hm, there are lots of triangles too – triangles are always very keen to point at things, aren’t they? Don’t they know that it’s rude to point? Oh, and by the way, have you become aware of those dark rectilinear shapes where the stars aren’t? I’d forgotten that I’d slipped those in; perhaps it’s dark matter in the universe… Am I rambling? Yes, I think I am… I must nip off and make a cup of tea…
