Yes, this photograph was taken earlier this year on a bus in the Dulltown Interchange. It was the No. 2, engine running, about to head west. I was sitting alone there on the top deck waiting for it to set off when I had a strange and eerie feeling that I was being watched – do you ever get that?… I remember a few years ago there was some research done to see if people could somehow sense that they were being watched or stared at. (Staring) But I don’t think this would count in the research, as it wasn’t an actual person doing the staring – no, it was a giant stinking scaly sharp-clawed monster, that after peering at me through the window for a few minutes went on to rampage through the queues of passengers on the concourse and then went bounding through the railway station, pausing only at the branch of W H Smiths to pick up a copy of the Guardian and a bar of chocolate. The outrage was reported in all the media – maybe you heard about it? Anyway, this is one of the few pictures of the beast taken on that awful day. Nice isn’t it?…
