Dulltown, Europe: Today’s random dictionary words are: araba, silladar, lubfish, pantisocracy, vamplate, and oubliette. Please have these words looked up and placed in suitable sentences ready for Professor Mouldie first thing after breakfast tomorrow morning. Incidentally the professor will be wearing a singlet and shorts and attempting to run on an electric treadmill for the duration of tomorrow’s lesson.

4547 DSCN4142Oh dear, I find that the word ‘poignancy’ pops into my head whilst looking at this one. It’s a very good word is poignancy. I don’t think I have ever used it before, probably because I have never been confident that I couldn’t spell it; it’s the placement of that cheeky ‘g’, and I always thought that it might have more than one ‘i’ in it, but now I’ve looked it up and checked – here it is! I really must try to remember the spelling for future occasions. Oh, I know – I’ll break it in two and remember it as a person’s name – Poig Nancy, that’ll do it!
Oh that Nancy! You know, she’s always so very very poig!…
Yes, again, fluorescent card with a simple collage made of items roughly snipped from that awful British TV listings magazine What’s On TV. Oh, and you know, transplanting eyes like this is so easy, and so effective! Looking at it now I quite like my sloppy carefree ragged cutting, especially that bit at the bottom right edge with the little glued-down tear in the paper…
