Mail art postcard No. 4502…

But first…
Dulltown, Europe: Today’s joke is the one about the Prime Minister, the blackcurrant tart, and the two tall nuns. Oh, how we chuckled down in our cupboard under the stairs back at 10 Downing Street…

WP F 4502It’s always the eyes, isn’t it? We humans are well conditioned by evolution to be always on the lookout for eyes, and we are easily drawn into accepting ridiculous images like this one, we just can’t help ourselves…
Yes, this is another of my quick collage mail art postcards using clippings from that awful British TV listings magazine What’s On TV. Do you like the carefully ripped rough edges to the clipping? It was well worth bothering with I think.
There seems to be a bit of sadness going on here – is it in the eyes? Or is it the downturned mouth? It’s probably the combination, perhaps the eyes and the mouth are not sad at all, but it’s only the combination of the two that suggests it? Anyway, not too bad a card, this number 4502… Hm… to whom shall I send it?…
