Mail Art Postcard No. 4557…

But first…
Dulltown, UK: Today’s ancient Egyptian deity is the goddess Astarte, often depicted as a naked woman with Atef-crown or bull’s horns, riding a horse. Her attribute is war. (Astarte)

wp-f-4557Whoa! Now then, where did he pop up from?…
‘Hello… Yes little chap?… What’s that you are saying?… You’ll have to speak up I can’t quite hear you, try spitting some of that water out! Ah, that’s better… What?… “Why are humans being so stupid?…” No, no, little fellow, you shouldn’t be saying things like that!… What?… Donald Trump?… No, I don’t know how that happened… Yes, I suppose you could be right, those Americans might have been better off voting for you instead, but then, you didn’t bother putting yourself forward did you? Anyway what are you… an otter or something? No, I don’t think an otter can be president… Yes, I suppose it is a bit unfair… Where do you stand on gay marriage?… Oh really? Good for you!… Look, I’m sorry, but I really must be off, I have a television to throw out of my window…’

Yes, this is another of my Mail Art postcards – a simple collage on fluorescent card using cuttings from that awful British TV magazine What’s On TV.
He is an endearingly cute little fellow isn’t he? Me?… I’d vote for him…

  1. Dana Doran says:

Oh Dave! I can’t imagine what you’ve seen on television! We get progressive propaganda here in the “colonies.” The bias is formative. Super powers behind the scenes work the system through loopholes and pay protestors to attract the news media. Moreover, here in the US accusations during a campaign cycle, no matter how baseless, are passed around as true. For instance, recently, the “news media” labeled Trump a pedophile and rapist based upon a civil suit filed in Federal Court by “woman” using a false name to disguise her real identity (?)…after cancelling a highly publicized press conference citing her fear of revealing her true identity (?), her attorney proceeded to voluntarily withdraw the case from the court, a dismissal if you will —- which means that the case may not be brought again. Clearly, it was a move by someone in opposition to Mr. Trump to defame and malign him….because talking badly about women in a private conversation was not bad enough to turn people against him. On the Hillary side, people here in the US who pay attention are informed that while she was Secretary of State, facilitated the sale of 20% or more of the US uranium resources to a state owned Russian company ….. her husband conveniently gave a speech and was paid hundreds of millions of dollars from Russia. While I am absolutely positive that our government was corrupt to some degree, the Clinton greed machine has overstepped it’s bounds and it’s time to reign that in…..So, in summary I’d like to say that George Washington was probably not a popular figure in England during his time on earth……

      Phew!
Me, I’d vote for George Carlin if he was still around and available…

      • Dana Doran says:

Oh George Carlin was (sometimes) right on…….however, we learned recently that he was wrong about politicians. WikiLeaks/Podesta emails made it abundantly clear that Hillary joined the global elitists and her main plan was to create an “unaware and complaint citizenry.” The current “protests” are being funded by the people with this agenda – protestors are being paid to protest – yet the media portrays it as grassroots……..the unaware are still unaware because they were educated that way.

      • Dave Whatt says:

Oh dear – crazy days… What the hell next?…

  2. Aww he is adorable, and I’d probably vote for him. Although they do tend to duck under the water quite a lot to avoid trouble.
