A few shortish items…

But first…
Dulltown, UK: Today’s unusual white china teapot is the one shaped like the cry of a solitary seagull soaring over the white cliffs of Dover.

Excuses for being late. No. 378.
I’m sorry I’m late, but I was practising my pommel horse routines. (PHR)

A single overheard remark:
‘Yes, he was wanting to go round the back of Scotland…’

‘I hear there’s a new octopus coming out.’
‘It has an extra leg.’
‘Really? What’s it called then?’
‘The leg?’
‘No, the new mollusc itself.’
‘Can’t you guess?’
‘An octoplus…’

An observation:
Today in Dulltown city centre everybody was sad-eyed and pouting – everybody, even the babies in their prams…

Today’s old record that it would be very cool to like is Kicks Like a Mule – the Bouncer (1992). I love the minimalism and the strangeness of this. (Click)

Do you have spam today?…
Well yes, I think there is a nice piece here, it’s fresh from my comments box – it seems to emanate from someone called Robbma:
My flip, my turn.? Larry mentioned eagerly wiggling to get an opportunity to talk.
?I feel tthe perfect thing about God is that he ccan beat up the devil because the devil is scary and imply and ugly and bad and God can beat himm up so the devil can?t harm us like he did those demon filleed folks in Jesus day.
Well, Robbma, I think you have summed up the situation perfectly and given me a completely new insight into the subject topic and God-view things altogether. Do not hesitate to get in touch again sooner.

Yes, I’m thinking of changing my name to Rose Arry-Beeds.

My neighbour’s dog was barking.
It was going, ‘Woo-huff ahaaaa! Woo-huff ahaaaa! Woo-huff ahaaaa!…’ I don’t know much about dogs, but I think that translates as, ‘Hey!… Hey!… hey!…’

A single overheard remark:
‘It was an all-night jazz effect…’

  1. A single overheard remark:
“Yes, he was wanting to go round the back of Scotland…” Oh really?? Does he indeed? Well ‘is name’s not Dan, so ‘ees not comin’ in… 😀

  2. “Dan” from the Bouncer song you linked to! At least, that’s what it sounds like…”Yer names not dahn (down) so you’re not coming in” as in name on the list thing….
