Mail Art Postcard. No. 4668…

But first…
Dulltown, UK: Today’s financial forecast is for bunches of certified cheques and crisp large denomination bank notes to feel very nice in the hand, and for coins to be stored away in large jars in dark cellars until we can think what to do with them.

Aha! Another of my mail art postcards, a simple collage on bright card using clippings from that awful UK TV listings magazine What’s On TV.
Well, there’s not much to say about this piece of work – it’s about as simple as one can get. She does grab one’s attention though doesn’t she? Once she has fixed you with her lovely eyes there is no dragging yourself away. It’s that smile too, a sort of all-knowing smile, one that you might find on the funerary mask of an ancient Egyptian nicely wrapped mummy – sort of serene and rather distant, as if she knows something pithy and at present she isn’t in the mood for sharing it.
Hell! I can hardly type this! Her gaze is dragging me away from my keyboard.
No, I’m afraid I don’t do ‘touch-typing’…
