Mail Art Postcard. No. 4577…

But first…
Dulltown, UK/Europe: Today’s confused film stars are: Cuck Chonnors and Cean Sonnery.

Hm, yes, another of my mail art postcards, a simple collage on bright card using clippings from that dreary UK TV listings magazine What’s On TV.

Yes, alright, I seem to know that these two are very popular on TV in Britain, maybe they are popular world-wide, I don’t know, but I’m afraid I can’t put names to them.
No, no, don’t even think about it! Do not, dear reader, get in touch to tell me who they are – I really do not need to know!
I suspect they might be something to do with cooking on television. Me, I never watch such tat! I find the whole idea ridiculous – watching people cook on television indeed! Bah!…
Oh, I hope I’m right with my guess as to what they do – imagine my embarrassment if these two turn out to be a couple of great artists, or film directors, or leaders of one of the world’s great religions, or designers of the space suits for the moon landings, or inventors of a piece of software that enables you to scratch the area of your back between your shoulder blades without dislocating your elbow, or they are in the news because they recently came over Niagara Falls together on a small log…

The text ‘Riser Recliners’ seems to fit very well doesn’t it? Do we all know what ‘riser recliners’ are? Just in case you don’t, here’s a link to look at. (RR) Actually I didn’t really know what they were until I looked here – I thought that they might be some sort of collapsible bed that you’d have out on your patio in the summer months. Still, one lives and learns…

It’s a good photo isn’t it? Look at those eyes – it looks to me like something is going on, perhaps something a little bit sinister. So there you are dear reader, sitting in the dark in some stinking cellar with no memory of the last twenty-four hours – you realise that you have been drugged and kidnapped. You crawl through the filthy straw to the door where you can see a tiny beam of flickering yellow light coming in through the keyhole. Suddenly a trapdoor at head height slides open with a bang! And there, are these two, peering in at you. They are both smirking, in anticipation…

Oh these two are very popular in the US…. British Baking Show. They do look as though they are quite happy with themselves…they must have just eaten cake.

  2. Dana Doran says:

Secret agents…both of them. I think they work for Putin, but the Queen pays them as well. “So, you’ve decided to escape then?”
