A puzzle photograph, a bit of urban strangeness…

But first…
Dulltown, UK/Europe: Today’s giraffe is the one causing a scene crouching down trying to get on the morning rush hour train, even though the carriage is obviously already full.

Whoa! What the hell is going on here? (By the way, this post starts and ends with the word ‘whoa!’)
This was one of those, I wonder if that’s interesting enough to bother taking a picture of? moments. Damn! Finished my sentence with a preposition! Mr Martin would sneak up behind me and slam something heavy down on my desk for an infringement like that! He was the one who adamantly refused to use the word ‘cinema’ – he always said ‘kinema’ for some reason (probably he was showing off that he had been to a school that did ancient Greek! I don’t suppose those ancient Greeks went to the kinema much anyway.) Sorry, I’m rambling, and drifting off back to school days – oh, some of the teachers back then were such awful bastards…
Now where was I?
Yes, a couple of months ago I was sitting in the cafe guzzling tea, peering out of the big window across the room in front of me – look, you can see some reflections of the room in the photo, they are confusing the issue nicely, but what is all that stuff going on outside?
It must have been near closing time, the baristas had been out stacking the outdoor tables and wicker chairs and collapsing the blue and black Nero umbrellas – they look a bit like a couple of hovering lurking figures!
What a very nice blue Nero uses for their logos, etc. – it makes it so easy to spot one of their cafes when visiting a strange town.
It’s not too bad a photo, is it? It’s growing on me the longer I look at it…
I think it’s the presence of the tree that perks the composition up, a hint of nature, don’t you dear reader? Oh, and aren’t the overall colours nice? I think it’s the greenish tint of the window glass that’s doing the trick… Hm, ‘tint’ is almost certainly the wrong word there – I feel the presence of awful Mr Martin sneaking up behind me – whoa!…
