Mummy?…

But first…
Dulltown, UK: Today’s dictionary words are: acajou, windring, zymotechnic, pribble, Lagthing, and provine. Please have these words looked up and placed in suitable sentences ready for Professor Mouldie first thing after breakfast tomorrow morning. As the professor is on a fasting regime at present, and is unusually irritable, you should handle him with kid gloves and be careful to not provoke him, the slightest thing could set him off.

‘Mummy?…’
‘Yes dear?’
‘Homeless people…’
‘What about them?’
‘Well, do you think that they hate the top rich people?’
‘Oh, I expect so dear, but they probably don’t think about them very much, they’ll have other things occupying their minds.’
‘And, do you think that the top rich people hate the homeless people?’
‘Oh no dear, they love them.’
‘Really?…’
‘Well, not love them exactly, but they really appreciate having them on the street, and as an essential part of our society.’
‘Oh?… Why is that Mum?’
‘It’s because all the thousands and thousands of people in badly-paid miserable awful jobs in the rich people’s businesses, who are thinking of walking out of them, will see what they will become if they do.’
‘Oh…’
‘You see, big business needs a good stock of homeless people around the place, it’s a highly visible and effective threat…’
‘But Mum, that’s awful!…’
‘Yes, it is dear, it’s called capitalism…’
‘Capitalism, I think I’ll write that word down in my little book.’
‘Yes dear, that’s good idea!… How about a nice cup of cocoa?’
‘Alright…’

So sorry for touching that nerve….you do know how I feel about your blaming mental illness and drug addiction on a system (capitalism) ! communism won’t cure homelessness, in fact, it brings us all down to a level of serfdom and breadlines…God bless the Queen? Oh, sorry again, that God thing!
