But first…

It was a nice day, back in March. I was walking across the big square in the middle of Dulltown with a friend who was visiting, from London. His phone rang, and he paused, and stopped, and he started doing computer-talk into it, he’s very good at computer talk. The square has a name. It is called Victoria Square. It commemorates the life and time of Queen Victoria -1837 to 1901. She was apparently Empress of India too. We were heading for the rather good Art Gallery, I say rather good, but they do have some pretty ropey late 20th century, and current, stuff in there too.
As my friend was getting verbally engaged in what buttons to press, and items to click on, I looked up and saw the statue of Queen V, on her nice pedestal.
She looked good against the sky. Oh, and there was the dome of the City Hall, looking very pleasant to her right.
Perhaps a photograph might be in order? The sky has some nice colours as well. Click!…

Oh, look, I managed to snap a bird too!
I’m not sure about its position, though. A bit further up, would have been better.
Is it a seagull?

Empress of India?
Good God! That’s ridiculous!
